AfterBurn: Stories from a Season of Fire
In 2025, wildfires across Nova Scotia altered landscapes, disrupted communities and filled the skies with smoke. In Annapolis County, including areas such as West Dalhousie, residents experienced evacuation alerts, prolonged burn restrictions and a heightened awareness of environmental vulnerability. “AfterBurn” is an exhibition and community art initiative that reflects on the aftermath of these events. Women’s RCAF uniform evolution reflects progress
Since the Second World War’s Royal Canadian Air Force’s women’s division, women have been “an essential part of Canada’s air power,” said 14 Wing Greenwood Commander Colonel Luc Vachon, formally opening March 13 a collected display of the Greenwood Military Aviation Museum’s women’s military uniform through the decades.
