Full schedule of fun, community displays and 14 Wing Family Day events
Wing Welcome 2025 is BACK October 16 to 18, after shifting on the calendar from its traditional September weekend to alleviate base and community strain through a late-summer wildfire. Find all your favourite events – and some new offerings, as you check out the full schedule.
Highlighting events will be the October 16 free family-friendly hypnotist show with Jason Cyrus at the Annapolis Mess, and the October 18 afternoon Family Day static displays of 14 Wing aircraft and ground support equipment.
The REXPO event October 18 will bring in over 80 base and community display booths: find your next hobby, service club, youth sport, special interest group or church – or more! – at REXPO. The day expands this year, with a street carnival of bouncers, pony rides, henna art, games, cotton candy and other treats, street performers – and more! (can we say “and more!” any more?!); all set up on the side driveway between the 14 Wing Community Centre and the Morfee Centre. Join Military Family Services at the Morfee Centre for a free BBQ, an indoor sensory-friendly activity room and a Stamp Quest get-to-know MFS scavenger hunt through their building.
Wing Welcome is a great chance to get familiar with all the social and recreational facilities at 14 Wing Greenwood, from the rink and pool to the bowling alley and community centre to the Annapolis Mess and the Residential Housing Units’ forested fitness trail. Events are open to 14 Wing Greenwood Defence Team members and their families, community friends and anyone interested in finding out more about life in and around 14 Wing Greenwood.
