New programs for Spring – and even the summer ahead – are making their way onto the PSP Greenwood Community Recreation calendar. Fun, fitness and special event programs are all on offer:
YTGIF – 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday evenings, pre-registration required.
- April 25 – walk to Dairy Queen and the duck pond, $5 plus tax PSP Plan, $8 plus tax non-PSP Plan
Family drop-in – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday evenings. Free for PSP Plan members. Free play in the gym/ centre equipment.
Feed your Mind – Wednesdays, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., for youth ages eight to 12. $15 plus tax PSP Plan, $20 plus tax non-PSP Plan. Pre-registration required.
- April 23 – hamburgers
Pickleball – 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday evenings, pre-registration required. All skill levels welcome.
Kids’ Club – 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday evenings, pre-registration required. Ages six to 12.
Wheelchair basketball try-it – April 24, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., free wheelchair basketball demo and try-it (chairs provided). Ages 14+, all abilities welcome, no experience necessary. Pre-registration required.
Sportball – April 26, join a free, multi-sport demo class for a Sportball experience: skills development, social skills, personal growth and physical literacy. Ages 16 months to three years old: 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Ages 3.5 years old to seven years old: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pre-registration required.
Summer youth day camp registration opens May 1 – PSP Community Recreation offers weekly summer day camp for youth, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Camps all have themes, with daily swimming. Junior camp is for ages six to eight; senior camp is for ages nine to 12; sports camp is for ages nine to 14. There are various rates for PSP Plan members/ non-PSP Plan members, and single or multiple youth. For more information, contact Community Recreation at 902-765-1494 local 568-5341.
