14 Wing’s military sports, fun underway

14 Wing Greenwood’s military sports program is ready to hit the courts, the ice and the training calendar: if you’re looking to get involved in something you love – or something new, here’s what you need to know:

Men’s hockey – Greenwood Gardens, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. A team for the Canadian Armed Forces Atlantic regionals, in January and hosted by 14 Wing, will form from participants. Women’s hockey – Greenwood Gardens, Wednesdays, 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Thursdays, 12:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. A team for the Canadian Armed Forces Atlantic regionals, in the new year, will form from participants. For information, contact Warrant Officer Jeff Hull, Jeffery.hull@forces.gc.ca

Intersection pickleball – September 27 is the deadline to register your interest in intersection pickleball. Open to military members, PSP staff and civilian DND employees. This will be a mid-October through early December six-week league, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (with a potential tournament at the end).
