Lake Pleasant Campground is an outdoor-fun and getaway facility owned by 14 Wing Greenwood, situated in beautiful Springfield.

The campground is operated by Greenwood’s Personnel Support Programs (PSP) and provides a peaceful and rustic retreat for Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Regular, Reserve and retired members, Department of National Defence/ Non Public Funds/ RCMP personnel, and their families. Lake Pleasant has recently opened its gates to the public, and is proud to offer an all-inclusive camping experience to everyone. To ensure priority is given to military families, the campground offers advance bookings and first choice of season lots to CAF members.

The campground owes much of its recent success to the ongoing support of military partner units, including Real Property Operations, 14 Construction Engineering Squadron from Bridgewater, 14 Wing’s RAS Team, 14 Fire Emergency Services, preventative medicine technicians, Wing Environment, and 413 (Transport and Rescue) Squadron; and the TimberWolf Expo. The entire campground staff expresses its heartfelt gratitude to every member for their continued support.

In 2021, PSP deputy manager Philippa Arbiter took on the task of reviving and enhancing the campground to meet the requirements of a PSP specialty interest activity (SIA). Under Arbiter ‘s leadership, Lake Pleasant campground has had a number of property improvements, and now exceeds a number of health and safety guidelines, and attracting more military families than ever before. Arbiter was recognized for her exceptional achievements with a well-deserved award in 2022.

Faith Churchill joined Lake Pleasant Campground in 2022 as the maintenance/ cleaner and became campground manager in 2023. She brings with her a wealth of professional experience, including 15 years in the insurance industry and 10 years of running her own business. Churchill is passionate about outdoor activities, including camping, fishing, gardening and home renovations. She resides at the campground year-round and enjoys spending her time off by the lake or relaxing at the manager’s campsite.
