The Canadian Forces Snowbirds Aerobatic Demonstration Team will be performing at Air Show Atlantic August 26 and 27 in Debert, Nova Scotia. This will mark the first time the Snowbirds have performed at Air Show Atlantic since 2019. The Snowbirds were recently on a tour of Atlantic Canada, which included stops in Halifax and Moncton, at which they were unfortunately not able to fly due to poor weather.
Air Show Atlantic executive Director Colin Stephenson says aviation fans in Atlantic Canada are eager to see the team perform once again.
“There is an appetite for the Snowbirds to perform every year in our region, and rightfully so. Thousands of fans in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick turned out to see the team, and will now get the opportunity to enjoy their air display at Air Show Atlantic.”
In addition to the Snowbirds, fans will see a lineup of rare vintage and warbird aircraft, such as the P51 Mustang, a Curtiss P40 Warhawk and a Hawker Seafury. Third Strike Wing Walking will also perform at the show, along with the CF18 Demonstration Team, the Canadian Forces Skyhawks and several other civilian performers. Air Show Atlantic will also feature a robust static display, where fans will get to be up-close with planes such as the P51 Mustang, our RCAF aircraft and much more.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, Air Show Atlantic instituted a unique way to experience the show: a drive-in option allows fans to drive onto the airport property and park in the front rows of the show, get out and picnic and enjoy the show in their own private viewing area.
Advance tickets and more info about the show are available at airshowatlantic.ca, and all kids under 12 attend the show for free.
