In the wake of the recent tragedy at CFB Wainwright, our thoughts are with everyone affected. To show our support from 14 Wing, we are launching an initiative to collect greeting cards and notes of encouragement to provide comfort and support. Please indicate where you would like your card or note of encouragement to be sent:
- CFB Wainwright: accepting letters of support and cards for first responders
- CFB Edmonton: accepting letters of support and cards for 3 PPCLI
- Legacy Place Society: supporting the individuals and families affected
Collection points are available at:
- Hornell Centre, 14 OSS (Helen Shields or Captain Rustenburg)
- Greenwood Military Family Services, 24 School Road, Greenwood
- Central Registry, 14 Wing HQ
Deadline: Wednesday 18 November
If you or your section have collected items but cannot make it to a drop-off location, contact Captain Melanie Rustenburg, melanie.rustenburg@forces.gc.ca, to arrange a direct pick-up.
All collected cards and notes of encouragement will be bundled and mailed to their respective destinations.
