Valley legs September 23 to 26, including 14 Wing Greenwood overnight
There’s a Navy crew putting in some land miles this week, as the HMCS Halifax follows a Nova Scotia route on its 22nd Run for Wishes.
Sixteen participants took off from Sydney September 19 on the relay-style run, aiming to raise $40,000 for Make-A-Wish Canada. The group has already been through Baddeck, Antigonish and Truro, and are on the road today to Halifax. Wednesday, they aim for Wolfville. The crew will bunk in at 14 Wing Greenwood Thursday evening, and then head to Digby Friday (leaving the Kingston Tim Horton’s at 8 a.m.). Once in Digby, supporters will be able to pitch in further at a Sobey’s noon-hour BBQ and evening Digby Legion dinner. Saturday, the crew has its final leg to Yarmouth.
