Annual Muscular Dystrophy gate donations make a difference

This year’s Muscular Dystrophy 2026 Fill the Boot Campaign boot drive at 14 Wing Greenwood’s gates was a tremendous success May 14, and 14 Fire Emergency Services firefighters are proud to share, through the generous support of wing members, they raised a record $4,513.80. 14 FES’ Blue Crew recently made a cheque presentation to provincial MD society representatives.

The traditional firefighters’ boot drive helps support several important objectives, including raising awareness of muscular dystrophy within our community, supporting cutting-edge research toward improved treatments and, ultimately, a cure; and helping provide life-changing equipment and support to individuals and families affected by muscular dystrophy.

All members of the 14 Wing fire hall would like to express sincere appreciation for the outstanding support received from personnel across 14 Wing. This achievement would not have been possible without the collective generosity and commitment of members.

Thank you to everyone who donated and supported this year’s boot drive. Your contributions have made a meaningful difference, and everyone at the fire hall sincerely appreciates your continued support.
