One of Atlantic Canada’s most inspiring fundraising events is staying in Nova Scotia this year, creating a unique opportunity for participants to experience firsthand the impact of the funds they raise for Brigadoon Village.
The Big Swim, a longtime GIVETOLIVE event, in support of Brigadoon Village; will take place August 30 on Aylesford Lake for the first time. Participants may choose from one-, five- or 10-kilometre open-water swim routes, all beginning and ending on Brigadoon Village waterfront. Each swimmer commits to raise funds for Brigadoon Village, contributing to life-changing camp programs for children and youth living with health conditions and other life challenges throughout Atlantic Canada.
Big Swim participants may stay overnight in camper cabins, share meals in the dining hall, take part in camp activities and gather around a campfire before swim day.
