Collaborative care

At Nova Scotia’s 14 Wing Greenwood, the power of collaboration was on display at 14 Wing Greenwood May 31, as 26 Canadian Forces Health Services highlighted its integrated military-civilian approach to healthcare delivery.

Participants from the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference visited the unit, where CFHS personnel shared how the Canadian Armed Forces’ healthcare system works alongside provincial healthcare partners to provide care to military members across Canada.

The visiting group met with healthcare and dental professionals, 14 Wing leadership and 413 (Transport and Rescue) Squadron personnel to learn how military and civilian healthcare collaboration supports operational readiness, patient care, emergency response and the ability to deploy personnel wherever they are needed.
