HFX is accepting applications for the 2026 Peace With Women Fellowship, a four-week professional development program for senior female military officers from NATO and NATO-partner countries. The program includes meetings with senior military, political, business, technology and civil society leaders in Canada and the United States, and participation at the 2026 Halifax International Security Forum.
“HFX created the Peace With Women Fellowship because the full use of women’s talent in international and security affairs makes for stronger democracies with more effective militaries,” says Peter Van Praagh, HFX President. “We are proud to advance women’s leadership through this unmatched program and to foster a dynamic global network of senior military officers.”
The fellowship is open to active-duty female military officers from NATO and NATO-partner countries of rank equivalent to army colonel or naval captain (NATO rank OF-05) or above. The 2026 Fellows will join a diverse and dynamic alumnae network of 93 officers from 27 countries.
