14 Wing Greenwood will celebrate sport and recreation – and fun – Friday, May 15, with both the 2025 14 Wing Sports Awards and the local version of the RCAF Run, courtesy of signature sponsor Supplement King Greenwood.
Events are open to 14 Wing Defence Team members and family. No pets will be allowed at the Mess, on the RCAF Run route or at the Community Centre (service animals welcome).
7:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. – RCAF Run check-in begins, outside Annapolis Mess. Pick up any nationally-ordered RCAF Run race kit, check your route, pick up an event prize draw ballot (Defence Team members only, $1,500 in various value goods and certificates)
9 a.m. – 14 Wing Greenwood 2025 Sports Awards ceremony, Annapolis Mess, honouring the base’s BEST through 2025 play, officiating, coaching and volunteering – come cheer on your peers! All welcome. Coffee and muffins provided, thanks to Canex Greenwood.
10 a.m. – 10 km run warm-up
10:15 a.m. – 10 km start
10:30 a.m. – 5 km run/ walk warm-up
10:40 a.m. – 5 km run/ walk start
All distances and routes will finish at the Church Street Community Centre.

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – free Aylesford Lions’ participant BBQ (hamburgers, hot dogs, cheeseburgers and fried onions), outdoor games, RCAF Run prize draws, cash beer garden (19+), free bowling and music (DJ sponsored by BMO Neil Harris); all at the Community Centre
12:30 p.m. Combined Charities ULTIMATE Musical Chairs: $5 to play with advance purchase from unit reps or sara.white@forces.gc.ca; $10 day-of purchase. Winner takes home $200 cash.
