Royal Canadian Legion, Dr. CB Lumsden Branch 74 in Wolfville hosts an April 14 lunch and learn with guest speaker archaeologist Dr. Aaron Taylor.
Taylor will make the case for Canada’s need for an active search program to provide the fullest account possible for over 27,000 Canadian military personnel listed as missing in action. He will discuss the planned search for the remains of Lieutenant Joseph L. Tranter. “The Man is the Mission: In search of a WW1 Canadian Hero” will last about 45 minutes, with a question and answer period to follow.
The event is open to all and includes lunch – soup, sandwich, coffee/ tea and dessert; for a freewill offering. The event takes place Tuesday, April 14, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Wolfville Legion, 310 Main Street.
