Say Thanks! during National Volunteer Week April 19 to 25
Volunteers choose to give generously of their time, knowledge and skills to support the 14 Wing Greenwood mission because they care deeply about contributing to “Serving Those Who Serve.”
Being a volunteer with 14 Wing’s Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services programs not only provides you with unique opportunities to support the Canadian Armed Forces community: members, their families, veterans and supporters; volunteering with CFMWS supports you, as you become part of a family of caring, kind, likeminded individuals.
Here at 14 Wing, CFMWS is lucky to have so many individuals dedicating their time, efforts, abilities and expertise to support, nurture and offer various opportunities for all ages. Whether it is leading a physical activity, sharing a hobbies, or ensuring programs, activities and events have the helping hands they need, CFMWS partners could not possibly do what they do without volunteers. They are the backbone of morale and welfare offerings for CAF members, their families and the community.
If you are looking for an opportunity to volunteer within CFMWS’ recreation, family, sports or special events programs; drop into the Greenwood Military Family Resource Centre on School Road or the Community Centre on Church Street, or visit https://cfmws.ca/about-us/our-volunteers. Whether you are hoping to build CAF member PER points or add to your resume, share an interest with or teach something new to others, or you’re looking for a way to support your community – there is always a need, and something for everyone!
To each and every one of our volunteers, the CFMWS team and our program participants thank you and are forever appreciative of what you do!
