Kingston day of play May 19 tees up ’26 season for CAF members, vets, first responders and families
Emeritus Golf Maritimes is teeing off its 2026 season with an opening day of play at the Paragon Golf and Country Club in Kingston May 19.
The national volunteer-led, non-profit organization started in 2018 to provide veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces, serving members, first responders and their families access active living opportunities, through golf, at competitive and non-competitive levels; including through tournaments through the Maritime circuit. Organizers use golf as an inclusive platform, promoting peer support, mental well-being, camaraderie and social connection within these communities.
“Our goal is to increase awareness and ensure members who may benefit from connection and peer support opportunities are aware of our organization,” says Lieutenant (Navy) Valerie Tiller a nursing officer with the Regional Cadet Support Unit (Atlantic), avid golfer and both the volunteer treasurer for Emeritus Golf Maritimes and national director of Women’s Golf for Emeritus Golf.
“I have seen firsthand the positive impact this organization has on our community. Our events provide meaningful opportunities for connection, as well as volunteer roles for CAF members who wish to contribute and support their community.”
Emeritus Golf members may compete in any Emeritus Golf event, with valid Golf Canada membership. Tournament fields are determined by competitiveness, gender and a Golf Canada Handicap.
Events highlight both competitive stroke play and non-competitive participation, creating an inclusive environment for all skill levels.

– May 19 opening at Paragon in Kingston, Nova Scotia
– June 4, fundraising tournament at the Chester Golf Club, N.S.
– June 17 at Eagles Glen, Cavendish, Prince Edward Island
– July 13 at Hartlen Point, Shearwater, N.S.
– July 27 at the Countryview Golf Club in Fairview, PEI
– August 13 at the Sussex Golf Club, in Picadilly, New Brunswick
– August 24 at the Dundee Golf Club in Dundee, N.S.
– September 10 at Rustico Resort in New Glasgow, N.S.
– September 24 at the Lakeside Golf Club in Lakeville, N.S
– October 5 championship at the Amherst Golf Club, N.S.
