April is recognized as the Month of the Military Child – a time to honour the resilience, adaptability and strength of those who grow up in military families. Military children experience unique challenges, including frequent moves and time apart from loved ones, yet continue to show incredible courage and flexibility. Often symbolized by the dandelion, they truly bloom wherever they are planted.

Military Family Services (MFS) Greenwood invites the community to join in this year’s celebrations: MFS, 14 Wing Greenwood personnel and community friends will gather at the 14 Wing main gate at 8 a.m. April 23, as we all raise the teal “Month of the Military Child” flag in recognition of military children and their contributions to our community.
