Current and past 413 (Transport and Rescue) Squadron Members are invited to mark the end of an era and celebrate the CC130H Hercules in its search and rescue role, following the squadron’s transition to the CC295 Kingfisher.
This Friday, February 13, event at the 14 Wing Greenwood Annapolis Mess, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; is intended as a light-hearted but respectful send-off to an aircraft that has served Canada – and 413 Squadron – exceptionally well in the SAR mission. It will also recognize a fundamental change in how we operate, as we bid farewell to two members of the traditional Hercules crew complement: our flight engineers and loadmasters, whose professionalism, expertise and humour have been integral to the Herc community.
This will be a family-friendly event; spouses and children are welcome. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual option will also be made available.
Please RSVP via email to: David.Pearson@forces.gc.ca or Tiffany.Noseworthy-Fines@forces.gc.ca
There is also an internal 14 Wing Teams news feed article and RSVP link.
