he Greenwood Military Aviation Museum, with the Greenwood Players Drama Club, is gearing up to host its first-ever “Haunted Hangar,” a thrilling Halloween event that promises a night of spooks – and skills – for the whole family October 28, 29 and 30.
The Haunted Hangar is designed as an after-hours, one-way walkthrough that keeps the line moving – and pulses racing, followed by “Phantom Flight School,” where would-be aviators tackle fast-paced skill challenges to earn (or flunk) the coveted Phantom Flight School souvenir token. Don’t miss your chance to earn your wings and become a certified Phantom Pilot.
Tickets are on sale from October 8 at the museum, 1 Ward Road, Greenwood; or by phone at 902-765-1494 local 568-5955. Admission is $10 per person or $30 per family (two adults, three children). Gates open at 6:30 p.m., with the Haunted Hangar open at 7 p.m. (last entry 8:45 p.m.). The event is recommended for participants age eight and older (parental discretion advised). There will be concessions available.
Volunteers wanted: help transform the museum’s hangar into a haunted experience (set up and tear down), build props, lead “phantom pilot” challenge activities. If you’re ready to scare up some fun and give back to the community, email frightflight2025@gmail.com
Decorations wanted: the museum is looking for gently-used Halloween decorations (ghouls, ghosts, cobwebs…). Donations may be dropped off at the museum during regular hours, Wednesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
