Saturday, June 14, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the public is welcome to attend a family day open house at 5th Canadian Division Support Group Garrison Aldershot, 1400 Lanzy Road, Kentville.
Displays and activities include:
• Kiddie commando course
• Touch-a-Truck (quiet hour 11 a.m. to noon)
• 10-man tent group
• Small arms virtual trainer( C7 service rifle, C9 light machine gun, C6 general purpose machine gun)
• Military Police
• 2444 Kings County Royal Canadian Army Cadets
• 105 mm Howitzer with gun truck, 1st Field Artillery Regiment, Halifax
• West Nova Scotia Regiment
Between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., the camp’s MKT (flying kitchen) will serve up free hamburgers and hotdogs.
This event is rain or shine. Service dogs are welcome (no personal pets).
