The 2025 Canadian Armed Forces Atlantic region women’s volleyball championship wrapped up February 27, with hosts 14 Wing Greenwood finishing in second place, equaling the team’s 2024 standing. The Formation Halifax Mariners won the 2025 Atlantic title.
With a 2-2 record through the February 22 to 26 round robin, Greenwood played a strong Halifax team in the final: the Mariners had finished first through the round robin, with a 4-0 record. The 5 Canadian Division Support Base Gagetown Warriors finished in third place, losing 3-1 in the playoff game that advanced Greenwood into the final.
The 14 Wing Greenwood team and athletes showed a lot of improvement in their play throughout the tournament. Through great teamwork and long rallies in the finals, Greenwood pushed Halifax to have to earn each point during the best-of-five sets, making for an entertaining match.
Canadian Armed Forces women’s nationals will be held at CFB Borden May 1 to 4.
