The Greenwood Dolphins Swim Club made a splash at the Novice and Nova Tech Swim Meet held in Clare November 3. For many of our new and returning swimmers, this was their first competition of the year, and they showcased their hard work and dedication. It was also the first meet where assistant coach Hannah Banks took the helm, leading the athletes and other coaches, Alexis Miller and Andrew Peddle, at the pool.
The atmosphere was electric as young athletes took to the pool. Swimmers from the Novice and Nova Tech categories competed, with several achieving personal bests and meeting their goals to advance to higher levels. Moving from Participation to Level were swimmers Isabella Green and Izzie Mapplebeck, moving from Level 1 to Level 2 were Avalyn Girard, Caitlyn Wolfe and Emiliano Rivera ad, moving from Level 2 to Age Group were Adrien Godon and Lauren Powell.
Coaches and parents cheered enthusiastically from the sidelines, celebrating the achievements of each swimmer. The event not only highlighted individual successes, but also fostered a sense of camaraderie among team members, setting a positive tone for the rest of the season. Thanks to the dedicated volunteers, who gave their time as timers, referees and judges; the meet ran smoothly.
The Greenwood Dolphins are proud of all our swimmers, and look forward to exciting competitions ahead. Congratulations to everyone for a fantastic start to the swim season!
