Members – past and present – of the West Nova Scotia Regiment are invited to attend the September 24 weekend reunion of the WNS Regimental Association.
This year’s gathering is highlighted by the parade, presentation and consecration of the WNSR’s new King’s and Regimental Colours at the Church of Evangeline, Grand-Pré National Historic Site at 1:30 p.m. September 24. With the parade, the WNS Regimental Association plans a group picture on the park grounds: the WNSR cap badge every member wears includes an image of the Church of Evangeline. Other reunion gatherings include the annual regimental association annual meeting at 3 p.m., followed by a banquet and social evening with the regiment, September 23 at Camp Aldershot. Following the September 24 parade and Colours event, there will be a BBQ at the WNSR HQ at Camp Aldershot for all ranks and regimental association members. Regimental association members should ensure their membership is up-to-date: renew and pay your dues by Paypal, credit card or debit card online at wnsr.ca/ra/docs where it says, “Join the West NS Regt Association.” New members may join by completing the application at wnsr.ca/ra/docs and sending it to the secretary with your annual dues: WNSRRA Secretary, 5086 Hwy 357 Elderbank, NS, B0N 1K0. Even if you cannot attend this year’s reunion, you may still join the association and show your support for the association. The WNS Regimental Association appreciates the support, and members will look forward to seeing you on another occasion. Your membership package will be mailed to you.
