March 8, head to the Annapolis Mess for a morning marking International Women’s Day 2023.
This year’s theme is #EmbraceEquity, and 14 Wing Greenwood’s Defence Women’s Advisory group, with the Greenwood Military Family Resource Centre, is presenting three guest speakers and a meet-and-greet display of local various women-operated businesses.
Guest speakers include Master Warrant Officer (retired) Sandra Snow, Kentville mayor and honorary colonel for 415 (Long Range Patrol Force Development) Squadron; representatives of the Free Spirit Therapeutic Riding Association (FSTRA) in Aylesford, and the Veteran Farm Project Society, launched in 2018 by Sergeant (retired) Jessica Miller and her husband, Sergeant (retired) Steve Murgatroyd.
The event runs March 8, 9 a.m. to noon, at the Annapolis Mess, and is open to the 14 Wing Greenwood Defence Team and community friends.
