Personnel from 14 Wing Greenwood’s Communications and Information SystemsFlight were at work dark and early December 6, manning all three base gates for several hours in a food drive blitz. As Defence Team members arrived, they were encouraged to raid car coffee funds, dig a little deeper or turn over bags of non-perishable food items. The resulting effort added up: 794 pounds of food, plus $3,060. Upper Room Food Bank volunteers in Kingston will make use of the donation as they serve community members in Western Kings County in coming weeks.
