Applications are open now for Support Our Troops summer camp reimbursement grants, for eligible Canadian Armed Forces families.
Qualifying overnight or day camps must be registered, reputable businesses or not-for-profit organizations, with legitimate summer camps publicly advertised as camps.
Funds are allocated to eligible serving families on a first come, first serve online application basis, prioritizing first time applicants. Families of eligible children who have never received a grant before may apply starting March 20. Should any funding remain available, families with children who have previously received less than three grants may apply April 18and onward. Applications will close once all funding has been exhausted. This program is open to families of serving members and Reserve Force members (on a current contract of 180 days or more).
Each eligible child may receive approval for one grant per summer, up to a maximum of $900 towards an overnight and/ or day camp. In other words, you may submit multiple receipts after children have attended camp, but will only be reimbursed up to the maximum per child, per summer.
